All you need is love

This weekend was a pretty eventful one for some friends of ours. First of all, our friends Bobby and Keever got married yesterday in Meridian. It was extra special to us because they actually met at our wedding and have been together every since.

If you haven't heard about the fight at our reception, it was Bobby who got beat up and pushed down the concrete stairs outside the Cultural Center. But he really did deserve it after being so drunk that he was pulling girls' skirts up on the dance floor. I think he just messed with the wrong guy's girlfriend, and that's all it took for a swift punch in the face. Needless to say, it was quite a memory for all of us. Too bad that part's not on video. And we don't have any pictures of it, either, but the one above kinda sets the stage. That was about 5 minutes before the fight. You can see Bobby being obnoxious on the right, and Keever's actually the one in the back of the group of girls almost wrestling for the bouquet. :)

And here they were yesterday as bride and groom...

We got a nice shout-out at the reception for "introducing" them, even though we really had nothing to do with it. Nevertheless, I don't mind taking credit for match made in heaven. :)

And also, I'm very excited to say that my best friend Cassidy is ENGAGED!!!! John proposed Thursday night on the beach, and they're planning on getting married next July. They started dating just a few months after Derek and I did, and I love them together. Their five-year anniversary is next weekend, so he surprised her a couple of weeks ahead of time. I'm so happy for her and can't wait until the wedding.

I just love it when things work out, and this weekend was a perfect example of that. These are four people who deserve a happy ending, and it looks like that's just what they've gotten in the Book of Love. :)
